I have a question. I get the point that connections just transfer power (for battle power) and don't generate any, but why is it then that this is not true for the first connection to a base? This is absolute garbage. Either you stick to it or you don't. If you want to reward connections then let them create effective power but not only the first one but any in a similar way.
I mean what is the reasoning behind the current calculating system, because it seems very arbitrary?
@Nyxi Could you please tell what do you mean by the first connection to a base? Below is the system being used currently for Battle Points calculation. If you have any questions after going through it, let me know.
Here's the formula that is used to calculate the strength of a base in a cluster.
the strength of a base = (Power profit of base/ No. of outgoing links) * Multiplier
where, Multiplier - 100% for origin base, 50% for primary base, 25% for secondary base
The total cluster strength of the cluster is then calculated by adding the individual strengths of all the bases(origin, primary and secondary) involved in the cluster.
At the end of the battle, the cluster with higher cluster strength wins the battle.
Battle Points = Cluster strength (CS) of winning cluster - CS of losing cluster
NOTE: In order to have the Battle Points won to be counted towards the dominance of your MegaCorp, a base from the cluster must be connected to the MC's HQ directly or via a base or a chain of bases connected to the HQ. This connection to HQ can be made any time during the battle but to be counted for dominance, it must be maintained until the end of the dominance cycle.
